For Gary's birthday I decided to take him to see Blue Man Group downtown. He said that he went many years ago, but always wanted to go see a new one since they update their show all the time. I reserved us a room at the same hotel we went to when we celebrated his first birthday together 3 years ago. It is steps aways from Michigan Avenue, and right around a bunch of good restaurants. We dropped Brienna off with the grandparents and headed down to the city. I wanted this to double as a last celebration before the wedding. As soon as we checked into the hotel we went to Weber Grill for dinner. It started pouring while we were inside the restaurant and so we ran back to the hotel and got drenched! Well, at least he did. As the amazing gentleman that he is, he gave me his hooded sweatshirt to cover up with on our run back!

I thought the show was AWESOME! It was hilarious and very entertaining. Especially when they picked the most adorable little old lady from the audience to participate. I don't think I have laughed that hard in a long time. It was a perfect evening, and so nice to be able to spend a little alone time with Gary. It was so comforting to put all the recent stress behind us and just have fun for a little while.
The next day we went to ESPN zone to watch the Bear's game. It was a good thing we got there early because it was packed by Noon with people standing everywhere to watch the game. We only stayed until it was obvious they were going to win and then left to pick up Zach from his father, and Brienna for Grandma and Grandpa.
