As Brienna quickly approaches 8 months old, I think she believes that she is a very mobile 1 year old. She pulled herself up to a stand for the first time yesterday and now has made this her very favorite thing to do. I have yet to get a picture of it, but I wish I would have had the camera this morning when I went into her room. She was standing and bouncing in her crib...time to lower the mattress AGAIN! She has also decided recently that she much prefers table food to the boring baby food in the jars. She has been refusing to eat from a spoon, but if you give her something she can pick up herself she eats it all up.
Wednesday was Gary's birthday and she had her very first taste of chocolate cake. She was an addict, and you couldn't get it to her fast enough. I know, I know what kind of horrible mother allows her infant to eat cake! Her dad was the instigator and it was pretty cute to watch.
This afternoon we went to lunch and she decided she would like to have grilled cheese for lunch instead of the sweet potatoes that I brought for her. She ate about 3/4 of the sandwich and loved it!! I have to be careful and only give her a few pieces at a time because she likes to shove everything in mouth at the same time.
So at this rate she will be walking and eating all table food by the time she is 11 months old! Oh please help me!!!
