annual apple farm trip

This past weekend we went to the Apple Farm in Wisconsin. We have been taking the kids for the last three years so I guess you could call it one of our annual traditions. Believe it or not Gary and I have a few of these that we like to make sure we do with the kids every year. We usually go let them jump around in the bounce house, they play on the antique fire engine, we get some really good apples, and they get their face painted. This year we waited in line for over an hour to have their faces painted, but that is what they look forward to the most, so there was no way that I was getting out of that.

Brienna was a trooper considering the only nap she had all day was a short one in the car on the way up North. This always signifies the beginning of fall to me!!

check out this adorable outfit

Yes, I truely felt that this outfit was cute enough that it deserved it's very own post. I bought this outfit last week from Babies R Us, and have been waiting for a day that is cool enough to wear it. Today it is low 70's and cloudy...PERFECT!!! So as soon as it was time to get dressed this morning I took it out and put it on her.

She of course got nothing but rave reviews at the gym this morning when I dropped her off in the child care center! Don't we all wish we could have matching shoes for every outfit! I LOVE having a little girl...all the things I missed out on with having a boy first!

wedding stuff and more wedding stuff

I am sure that you are going to be very tired of hearing about all of this wedding stuff! I am very nervous that we are less then 20 days away and I still have so much to do. I decided to change the center pieces to red hydrangea with tiny white flowers for some added color. So I still have to put all of those together. I spent Saturday night making chocolate suckers for the wedding favors. I can only do 12 at a time then let them harden then melt some more chocolate to start all over. We were able to get about 24 done on Saturday, so we only have about 76 more to do!!

I have paid most of the vendors, so that has been a little relief. I still have to take Zach to get measured for his tuxedo, and find a bouquet to carry and a boutonniere for Gary. Those will most likely be live flowers.

The kids were invited to a birthday party that morning for the neighbor girls. My neighbor across the street has volunteered to take them for us. This will be a huge help having them gone for a little bit while we get set up.
And oh yes, the marriage license. I seem to keep forgetting this very important detail. We have to do that sometime in the next two weeks as well....I am so looking forward to becoming Mrs. Gary Cundiff, but I will so glad when this is all over!!!!!

check out my baby legs

I have had these baby leg warmers for Brienna since before she was born. I have been waiting for the weather to get cool again for her to get a chance to wear them. Of course last week was perfect, not to cool but not to warm! She rocked her leggings all day and was a huge hit with everyone that saw her!
Of course Zach wanted in on the picture so he could show off his cool rocker tattoo (on his arm)! I love giving him tattoos to wear. Maybe because I am such a lover of tattoos since I have 5 (very soon to be 6) of my own. He gets a kick out of it, and then in a couple days we can put a whole new one on!

birthday and bears

This weekend was a pretty good one. Zach finally came home from Disney. I was like a little kid waiting for Santa Clause to show up staring out the window! When he finally came home I rushed outside to meet him at the car. He seemed just as excited to see me as I was to see him. I tried to ask him how his trip was but at this age they are not very talkative about things that happened in the past. He told me a couple details but wanted to know more about what I did all week without him.

We had the neighbors over on Saturday for a bbq. The kids all played together, and the grown ups chatted. It was extremely cute how all the kids were waiting for Zach to come home. Unfortunately he got home too late, and all the kids had to go home for bedtime.

On Sunday we went over to my brother's house in the afternoon to celebrate his and Bailey (my nephew) birthday. During the day everyone got dressed in their Bear's gear to celebrate the first game of regular season. I didn't catch a pic of Brienna and she was the cutest in her cheerleading outfit, but no worries there are plenty of more games to go. We spent some time outside enjoying the day and Zach was glad to have his Lightning Car back. We finally took the safety off so it goes pretty fast now. He is REALLY good at manuvering around in this car. Almost makes me wonder if he has a career as a Nascar driver ahead of him :)

It was a nice relaxing weekend, and we enjoyed every minute of it!!

table centerpiece

So of course I am now in the mad crazy rush stage of wedding planning. I can not believe that I am 30 days away from this event, and now I feel very unprepared. I have decided to do my own centerpieces, and finally finished the first sample.

It is hard to see the pearl accents in this pic, but I am going to add a few more so they will be more noticeable on the tables. We were going to go with real flowers, but now I think it will be easier to just spend the money on the fake ones and then give the centerpieces away at the wedding. This way I can make them all up ahead of time and just have them ready to go on the tables that day.

more creations

I have a few more objects for the new website. I am signed myself up to do a Holiday Expo at the local Elementary School in November, so I have tried to start producing more and more items to have available to sell. My hopes is to make enough money from this expo to make my first few orders from some of the wholesalers that I have set up with.

Here is my first tutu that I made. It was much simpler then I expected...

A covered wipes case

A couple Halloween bows

Some flannel burp cloths that Gary's mom made from scratch. We have a couple cute designs with different fabrics!

7 months old and my busy little "b"...

Brienna turned 7 months on Saturday, and as the title suggests she is very busy. She can "crawl" across the room in a blink of in eye and gets her hands into everything. We have to be very careful where we leave our shoes since she seems to have a fetish with chewing on them...gross I know! She has progressed from making "ba ba ba" noises to "ma ma ma". Of course Gary has been working very hard on getting her to say "da da da". She can pull herself back into a sitting position from her stomach, and has begun having a little of seperation and stranger anxiety. She has one, almost two, bottom teeth. She loves to bite now on anything that you put in her mouth, which makes meal times more interesting for sure. She loves to play on the floor with her toys and is a very content baby.
She looks exactly like her dad now, although he would say different. I think this picture pretty much proves that. It is not the most flattering of her with her runny nose, but I was floored when I downloaded it how much she looks like Gary!

She has made a few forward motions crawling on her hands and knees but she much prefers her stomach...check out the video you see what I mean!

zach is off to disney world

I dropped Zach off at his Dad's house this afternoon. I felt really bad for my little man. He was so excited to be going to see Mickey Mouse, but a little sad that he won't see me, Gary, or Brienna for a whole week. He even asked me if Brienna would remember him when he came back. His was a little hesitant before he went in, but thank goodness for this story that his teacher read at preschool on Tuesday when the parents attended. It was called "The Kissing Hand", a story about a little raccoon that was off to school and was nervous about leaving him Mommy. She kissed the palm of his hand and said hold that hand to his heart and remember his kiss while they were apart. I did this for him, and he instantly perked up! I did cry just a little after I drove away, but I have never been apart from him for this long. Not to mention that I started thinking of all the things that could go wrong while he is in such a busy tourist spot like Disney World.

I know the week will fly by, and heaven knows I have plenty of work to keep me busy. I told him to call me when ever he felt sad because he missed me, and of course I will call him towards the middle of the week to check on how the trip is going.

oh my god not again

I was hoping for an easy and peaceful dinner last night. I wasn't making anything that should really make us have to battle with Rylee over food, and Gary's parents were coming over to help us eat the pork loin roast since there is no way we would be able to finish it and I HATE having left overs.

While dinner was cooking Gary took the kids outside. I went out to get the mail and what did we find???? Another motion filed by his ex to have Gary found in Civil Contempt of court for willfully refusing to follow his divorce decree. Seriously in contempt of court?!?!?! Not to mention that the claims are total bullshit!!! She is claiming that she requested his 2008 tax returns, 2009 year to date income, which she didn't. She also is claiming that she finally completed the paperwork to remove her name off the title to this house which meant that Gary had to pay her the $2000 for the house, which the transfer of title was NEVER completed which is why he didn't pay. So basically she is sueing him for false accusations, and signed the court document saying that these statements are true and correct under a penalty of law.

I am so so so tired of dealing with this nonsense. All of this is response to Gary asking for 50% custody. I told him last night that I really believe that she does all of this to make my life more miserable. I firmly believe that if Gary was not with me he would not be dealing with any of this. It makes me feel really bad for him, but really confirms to me that she is just really that bitter in life. It has really pushed me beyond breaking point, and I am doing my absolute best to keep it together for Gary's sake. I know me telling her exactly what I think of her would do nothing put make me feel better and she would continue to make his life hell.

brienna's 6 month pictures

So even though Brienna is about to turn 7 months old I finally took the time to scan her pictures that we had done. Sorry for the bad quality, we don't have the world's greatest scanner. I just thought these were the cutest pictures she has taken yet.

We also finally have our very first tooth. It appeared in the gum yesterday. She has been extremely fussy which is definitely not her personality and that would explain why. The other one on the bottom is right there as well, so I would imagine she will have both by next week!

first day of 4 year old preschool

Zach had his first day of prekindergarten preschool today. The parents were able to go to visit the classroom and learn what their "day" would consist of. Zach was surprisingly a little shy to walk into the door, but of course as soon as he got in he was his normal outgoing self.

There is a part of me that can not believe that he is already in his last year of preschool and next year brings Kindergarten. I am a little nervous about how he will do in this class. Last year he had a total of 5 boys in his class and that included Zach. This year he has around 20 kids and a mixture of boys and girls. I am sure once he gets into the swing of the year he will do just fine. It is a shame that his brilliant father decided to take him to Disney World next week which means that he will miss his whole second week of school, but I am sure by the time September is over he will be well acclimated.
