father's day

I am bound and determined to finish updating this blog this week. That way I can make a real effort to keep things current! After we returned from our Disney trip was Father's Day that Sunday. We went to Arlington Race Track again this year. The kids have a great time, and we sometimes win some money! This year we met up with my cousins and their Dad and we had box seats which was awesome. Thankfully it was not as hot as year's past.

Rylee and Brienna really enjoyed the pony rides. Brienna was not afraid at all, but then again that shouldn't surprise me of my little dare devil.

Zach picked out this fire boot bank as a present for his Papa. Since Zach was with his Dad I promised him I would bring him a picture of how happy he was when he opened it!

He loves to be a Daddy to his little girls!

disney part 2

Finally the second half of our Disney trip. I can not begin to tell you how much I would love to have more time every week to update this blog, but this summer has been crazy.
We spent one evening at Downtown Disney which was some fun shopping, and really great ice cream, which as most people know if my absolute favorite treat!

We spent 2 days at Magic Kingdom. There is no way that you can get everything you want done in one day there. This park was another one of my favorites. The first day we went we stayed for the whole day, and watched the Electric Street Parade at dark.
Even Brienna enjoyed the classic tea cup ride!

This is one of the only rides I remember as a kid. Of course anyone that has been to Disney World remembers "It's a Small World After All...."
We never did get to see Buzz, but Woody and Jessie were just as great. Zach went on and on about all the Woody stuff he has at home.
One day spent at Animal Kingdom which was good. It was of course unbearably hot so this water feature in the prehistoric area was a big hit for Brienna!
It was really cool to take the Safari ride and get to see the animals up close. The picture of the giraffe was not zoomed in at all. He was that close to the car.

Overall it was a terrific start to our summer. The car ride home we took nice and slow and everyone was glad to be back. It is a totally different experience as a parent going through Disney World. It is hard not to feel almost child like as you go through each park with your children! Can't wait to go back when Brienna is a little older and the older ones will be able to ride even more things!

disney part 1...

I can't believe that it has been another month gone and I have not found the time to post! I have been working mad hours trying to get ready for this huge baby expo on July 31st. I have spent all of my time working on the computer posting the pictures of the items I have available.

So now I am taking some time to finally update! June was a crazy month for us. School finished up, and then it was off on a road trip to Disney! We had been planning this trip with my Brother and his family for over a year. I was a bit nervous about the car ride, but things actually went really smoothly. We drove at night so Gary and I were a bit tired by the time we got there but we recovered after a good night sleep.

I made us all shirts to wear on the way down.

Our first day at the parks, the kids were so excited when then saw this!

The first park we went to was Hollywood Studios. This was probably my favorite of them all. It was Star Wars weekend so there were a ton of Star Wars characters roaming around which was super exciting to Zach, and apparently Rylee because her Mom's boyfriend is supposedly a huge Star Wars fan, otherwise I am not sure she would have had a clue who these people were?!?! This is also were a lot of Toy Story stuff was which is one of my absolute favorite movies, and Zach's too. There was a block parade that had a bunch of the Toy Story characters that was a BLAST.

The following day we went to Epcot. Not my most favorite parks, but they did have some cool rides that the kids enjoyed. Gary and I left early with the kids. Rylee and Zach were having melts downs, and my parents were not looking so good in the 100 deg plus weather so we headed back to the hotel early.
